THE BENEFITS OF ALONE TIME

  • Personal Exploration : When you become comfortable in your own company, you have the time and freedom to explore your own passions, interests and talents without distraction. Thus can be the perfect way to learn new things, experiment with new ideas, research interesting topics and develop creative skills. It is important to have time for yourself for your growth and development and for knowing yourself without the judgements and opinions of other people.
  • Creativity : Spending time alone allows your mind to wander and strengthens your creativity. Researchers have found that perceived social isolation led to increased activity in the neural circuits related to imagination. When left with lack of social stimulation, the brain ramps up its creative networks to help fill the void.
  • Improve concentration and increase productivity : When you remove as many distractions and interruptions as you can from your day, you are better able to concentrate, which will help you get more work done is lesser amount of time.
  • Work through problems effectively : It's hard to think of effective solutions to problems when you are distracted by incoming information, regardless of whether the source is electronic or human.
